Spiritual Warfare in the Name of Jesus!
Most of us experience some degree of negative circumstances in our life. There is a destructive force that dominates our existence. Things like trauma from the past, guilt, shame, fear, rejection, condemnation, hurt, bitterness, unforgiveness, rage, anger, lust, addictions (e.g. pornography), lying, depression, physical infirmities and even financial bondage.
We do things we don't want to do and act in ways that are contrary to who we want to be. It seems that we are struggling against forces that are stronger than we are. We want our lives to be free of these lies, deceptions and crippling conditions. We may have tried self-discipline, self-help programs, counseling, behavior modification, medication and every other way to overcome our problems, but still are unable to get free.
Deliverance is for Christians, we believe that one of the first things a newly born-again believer should do after baptism is submit themselves before God for deliverance. We believe that everyone probably needs deliverance, but not everyone qualifies for deliverance... It is only when we have been born again, purchased with the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ that we have a right to be free.(1 Cor. 6:20)
Simply put, the enemy no longer has a right to be in our lives. When we are born again we have been redeemed from the hand of the enemy, our citizenship is literally transferred from death to life. We are no longer the personal property of Satan but become full members of God's Family, the Body of Christ. As such we are given right standing and full benefits as a "child of God" through the redemption. We receive not only eternal security, but relationship with the Father through Christ, and just as equally our healing and freedom were part of Jesus's awesome accomplishment through Calvary.
In the 21st Chapter of Matthew we are given the account of Jesus going into the temple and finding the moneychangers and those that were selling merchandise. Jesus overturned their tables of commerce and literally drove them out of the temple. Jesus told them in verse 13 that they had made His Father's House a "den of thieves". Jesus never compromised. He purged His Father's Temple. The Apostle Paul refers to the body of the believer as the "temple of the Holy Ghost" (1 Cor. 6:19).
As believer's we have a responsibility to purge our temple. We need to drive the thieves out. They no longer have a right to be there. Demonic forces are disembodied spirits (spirits that do not have a physical body of their own) that invaded mankind when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. Jesus said the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. Demonic oppression seldom leaves voluntarily.
It always takes a superior force to drive it out. Being supernatural in power, oppression cannot be overcome in the natural by will power alone. It takes a power greater than the believer and greater than the demon to drive it out. Demonic forces can be driven out through the Name of Jesus. That Name is above all names. The Word of God says that at the mention of that NAME every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord of All. (Phil. 2:9-11).
Many people believe only evil people can be oppressed by demons. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you are alive, you are a candidate.
God is restoring the deliverance ministry that was prevalent when Jesus walked the earth and in the early church up until the dark ages. Now that we are in the “last days” this end-time ministry is being restored Ecc. 1:9, and is available now to believers. Deliverance ministers Jack & Leesa Verdot have been called and anointed for this end-time ministry and are making it available to believers today.
